Care Instructions
Gouri – Jaipur pieces are made from pure cotton. With a little care, they'll stay soft and hold their colour wash after wash.
- Wash: Hand wash separately in cold or lukewarm water for the first few washes, as cotton — especially dyed and printed fabric — can bleed slightly. Machine wash later only on a gentle cycle, inside out.
- Detergent: Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach or harsh whitening agents.
- Colours: Wash dark and printed pieces separately from light ones for the first 3–4 washes.
- Drying: Dry in shade, away from direct sunlight, to prevent colour fading. Avoid tumble drying.
- Ironing: Iron on medium heat while the fabric is slightly damp for a smooth finish. Iron inside out if the piece has prints or embellishments.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Fold rather than hang printed or embroidered pieces to help them hold shape.
